How is coaching different from therapy?

Coaching is educational and forward-focused. We work on self-awareness, communication, emotional intelligence, goals, and practical behavior change in your present life. Therapy and counseling are licensed clinical services that can diagnose and treat mental-health conditions. Coaching does not diagnose, treat, or replace clinical care, and it can run alongside the work you may already be doing with a licensed professional.

Who is coaching for?

Adults who feel emotionally stable and want to understand recurring emotional patterns, communicate with more clarity, strengthen relationships, reduce reactive habits, and practice healthier responses. Individuals and couples are both welcome.

What are the boundaries of our work together?

Accepted Answer

We work on awareness, patterns, communication, and practical next steps. I do not diagnose conditions, provide treatment plans, offer medical or legal advice, or provide crisis or 24/7 support. Sessions are scheduled and time-bound, and between-session contact is limited to the check-ins included in your offer.

What happens if I need clinical support?

I will say so directly and kindly. If something you bring is better served by a licensed therapist, counselor, physician, or another clinical professional, I will let you know and, where I can, point you toward resources for finding that support. You are always welcome to return to coaching when it is the right fit.

Question 5

Is what I share confidential?

Accepted Answer

What you share in sessions is kept private and is not shared with anyone else, with narrow exceptions where disclosure is legally required or where there is a serious concern for someone's safety. Coaching is not a licensed clinical service, so it does not carry legal privilege the way licensed therapy can. Anything used publicly — a story, a quote, a testimonial — is used only with your written permission.

What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy?

Please reschedule at least 24 hours before your session and we will find a new time at no cost. Cancellations or no-shows inside 24 hours use the session. Packages are non-refundable once the first session has taken place, and unused sessions in a package remain available for six months. Memberships can be canceled at any time and remain active through the end of the paid month.

Question 7

Do I have to include faith in my coaching?

Accepted Answer

No. Faith-informed reflection, Scripture, and prayer are available by your choice only and are never required. You will be asked at intake whether you would like faith included, would prefer a non-faith-based experience, or would like to discuss it during the consultation — and you can change your answer at any point.

What should I do in an emergency?
