Nichole Marie Coaching

Insight is the beginning. Practice is what changes us.

This is emotional intelligence coaching for teens, adults, and couples who want to better understand their reactions and practice a more intentional response. It is practical, relational work, grounded in the present and focused on what comes next.

You bring the pattern you keep running into. We explore what may be underneath it and build a response you can practice in real life. Faith-informed reflection is available if you want it, and never required.

You may recognize this

You may understand what happened. But do you understand why you reacted that way?

The ROOT Method

Understand the pattern beneath the reaction.

Coaching here isn't about shutting a reaction down. It's about understanding what's happening underneath it — and building a response you choose on purpose. Four movements, in every session, every workbook, every tool on this site.

R

Recognize the reaction

Name what happens in your body and your words before you have language for it.

O

Observe the pattern

Trace where the same reaction keeps showing up — and what tends to set it off.

O

Open to what is underneath

Notice the belief, assumption, fear, or meaning that may be shaping the pattern.

T

Transform the response

Practice a different response you can return to in everyday life.

Recognize the reaction. Observe the pattern. Open to what is underneath. Transform the response.

Client stories

"I used to be quick to run away from difficult relationship conversations instead of working through them. Nichole helped me recognize the importance of communicating what I was feeling rather than keeping everything bottled up. She guided me toward a more mature mindset, helped me pause and reflect, and gave me practical guidance I could return to when I needed it. She is incredibly caring and supportive."

"My preteen was going through a difficult time and her faith and courage led her to express the need to dig a little deeper. She started coaching sessions with Nichole and immediately after her first meeting, 'Mom, I feel good, I feel light and free.' The coaching sessions with Nichole have been a great impact on her life."

Personalized Support

Every story is different.

The options above are a starting point—not a rulebook. If your circumstances do not fit neatly into one of these paths, reach out directly.

A limited number of reduced-rate coaching spaces may be available for veterans, first responders, survivors, special-needs parents, and others navigating significant life circumstances. We can talk through your goals, determine whether coaching is the right fit, and identify the most appropriate next step.

Coaching is not therapy or crisis support. If your needs are outside the scope of coaching, I may encourage an appropriate referral to a licensed professional or community resource.

Coaching scope

Nichole Marie Coaching provides educational and coaching services. It is not therapy, counseling, diagnosis, medical care, or crisis support.

Guided workbooks

Resources for the work underneath.

Not every transformation happens in a coaching session.

Sometimes it starts with a question you finally let yourself ask, a story you need to understand differently, or a conversation you aren't quite ready to have yet.

I create guided workbooks that bring psychology, honest reflection, Scripture, and practical application together—so you can keep doing the work between conversations, around your own table, or with a group.

Created for different seasons of life — from growing into yourself to navigating relationships, healing, faith, and the realities of caregiving.

Nichole Marie, emotional intelligence coach, in warm natural light

About Nichole

Twenty years behind the chair. A lifetime at the root.

Hi, I'm Nichole — an Emotional Intelligence Coach based in San Antonio, Texas.

Before earning my degree in Psychology, I spent 20 years behind the salon chair.

For two decades, people trusted me with more than their hair. They talked about relationships, conflict, family, confidence, heartbreak, stress, and the things they didn't always feel safe saying anywhere else.

That experience taught me something I still carry into my work today: the reaction is rarely the root.

My psychology education gave me a deeper framework for what I had been observing for years. Combined with lived experience, emotional intelligence, and coaching, I help people look beyond the surface of a reaction and better understand what's driving it.

Today, I coach teens, adults, and couples who want to understand themselves more deeply, communicate with greater clarity, navigate relationships more intentionally, and develop emotional skills they can actually use in everyday life.

My approach is practical, conversational, and rooted in the belief that awareness matters most when it leads to change.

Faith-informed reflection is available for those who want it, but never required.

“Ministry is others being blessed by the oil that came from your crushing.”

Faith, by invitation

Faith-informed reflection is an option here — never a requirement.

Some people want Scripture, prayer, or faith-informed reflection woven into the work. Others don't, and that is equally welcome. You tell me on your intake form what you prefer, and you can change your mind at any point.

Clear about the line

Coaching and therapy are different things.

Both are valuable. They simply do different work, and if your needs fall outside coaching, we can discuss other support options.

What coaching here is

  • Present and forward focused — what is happening now and what you want to practice next.
  • Building emotional awareness, communication, and more intentional responses.
  • Practical work you carry into real conversations between sessions.
  • A supportive, honest space that can run alongside therapy beautifully.

What coaching is not

  • Not therapy, counseling, or clinical treatment of a mental-health condition.
  • Not diagnosis, medical care, medication guidance, or crisis support.
  • Not a replacement for the care of a licensed professional or the VA.
  • Not a promise of a particular outcome — insight is the beginning, practice is the work.

If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a mental-health emergency, call 911 or call/text 988 in the United States.
